Burger King and LEGO to showcase circular economy successes

With less than one week to go until the start of the much-anticipated Festival of Circular Economy 2022, CIWM has added two more big brands to this year’s action-packed programme.

Burger King and LEGO will be taking part in a dedicated co-lab session, hosted by Pentatonic on 29 November, talking about their real-world circular economy case studies:
Katie Evans, Chief Marketing Officer at Burger King UK, launched the Meltdown Campaign to stop giving out single-use plastic toys with children's meals in the UK.
Lauren O’Hara, Director of Circular Business Models at LEGO, launched LEGO Replay in the US and Canada, where customers can send back LEGO to be sorted and donated to charities.

Taking place virtually next week from 28 November to 1 December, the Festival’s line-up now includes speakers from household names including Amazon, L’Oréal, Lush, Diageo, Ellen MacArthur Foundation, The Bike Club and Freegle, as well as circular economy pioneers Tony Juniper and Marga Hoek, and architectural designer Charlie Luxton.

As an additional benefit for all attendees, headline partner Pentatonic are offering a free consultation – worth £500 – to enable companies to make the transition to circularity.

CIWM’s Policy and External Affairs Director, Lee Marshall, commented: “With the support of our headline partner Pentatonic, we can today announce two more big names to the Festival’s programme and the £500 voucher incentive for all attendees.

We want all delegates to learn from real-world circularity projects, so we are especially delighted to welcome Burger King and LEGO to showcase their successful circular economy projects.  If you didn’t already have a good reason to attend the Festival of Circular Economy, you certainly do now!”

It’s not too late to be part of the event, so secure your ticket now using the link https://www.circulareconomyfestival.com/.
